Planned project description

The project delivers informal ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) support to migrants who face language barriers that limit their chances of progressing into education, securing employment, and becoming independent.

Its aim is to build learners’ confidence in speaking, reading, and writing English so they can participate more fully in the community. Classes run twice a week at the local library and five additional two‑hour sessions at the Centre, with levels from Pre‑Entry to Entry 2.

The programme is coordinated by a part‑time ESOL Coordinator and supported by seven volunteer tutors and five volunteer assistants.
