Planned project description

This project will create a health and wellbeing hub in Bradley Ward, designed to support local regeneration and align with Nelson Pride in Place priorities.

This project will create a health and wellbeing hub in Bradley Ward, designed to support local regeneration and align with Nelson Pride in Place priorities. The hub will form part of the Pendle Vitality and Culture Village and will transform an underused space into a welcoming, community‑focused facility.
The hub will offer affordable and inclusive access to high‑quality fitness and wellbeing activities, helping to improve both physical and mental health for local residents.

A key focus is on reducing health inequalities by ensuring activities are accessible to people who may face barriers to participation.
By bringing people together in a positive, shared space, the project will help strengthen social connections, increase footfall in the area, and contribute to the long‑term regeneration of one of Nelson’s most disadvantaged communities.
