Digital Horizons is a community led project based at Harringtons Learning Centre that aims to help people feel confident using digital technology and to support lifelong learning. The project is designed for individuals who may have limited digital skills or access and want practical help to take part fully in today’s digital world.
Digital Horizons works by delivering a range of small, accessible activities, including workshops, training sessions, and community events. These activities help participants learn how to use digital devices, access online services, and develop everyday skills such as communication, job searching, learning online, and staying connected with others.
The project is open to people of all ages and backgrounds and provides a welcoming, supportive environment where participants can learn at their own pace.
An important part of the project is upgrading Harringtons Learning Centre’s digital resources. Improving equipment and technology ensures the project can continue to meet community needs, remain sustainable, and offer high quality learning opportunities. Overall, Digital Horizons aims to reduce digital exclusion, increase confidence, and help individuals unlock new opportunities through technology.
